ABOUT BECOMING LUCKIER
Most people believe luck is random—something that simply happens to you. I believe it’s something you can learn to harness.
Most habit books teach you how to change your behavior. The habits in my books teach you how to change the beliefs behind your behavior. Why does that matter? Because your beliefs influence what your brain notices, what you expect, the opportunities you recognize, the decisions you make, and the actions you take. Those patterns can move you toward a life of greater ease and abundance—or keep you caught in a cycle of lack, stress, and struggle.
Think of your brain like a smartphone. Your phone has an App Store, and your brain has what I call a Belief Store™. Inside are hundreds of Belief Apps™ about money, health, relationships, happiness, success, and even luck. Some empower you. Others quietly hold you back. And some may sabotage the very life you’re trying to create, no matter how badly you want a better life. The good news is that, just like the apps on your phone, your Belief Apps™ can be updated.
That’s where Lucky Habits comes in.
Instead of focusing only on habits you do, Lucky Habits focuses on habits you feel. Repeated thoughts, feelings, and experiences can reinforce the old beliefs that keep you stuck hoping for a better life—or help you build new magnetic beliefs that move you toward living and attracting a luckier life. Simply put: you can’t create a new belief with old feelings.
Inspired by psychology, neuroscience, and the science of habit formation, Lucky Habits explores the science of becoming luckier by turning ordinary routines and everyday experiences into opportunities to change the beliefs holding you back. These habits help you practice feeling wealthier, healthier, happier, loved, grateful, blessed, and luckier—and then connect those feelings to real evidence already present in your life. Over time, those repeated thoughts, feelings, experiences, and evidence can help you build a new Magnetic Belief™ about yourself and what’s possible for your life.
As your beliefs change, what you expect can change. What you expect influences what you notice. What you notice influences the decisions you make and the actions you take. And those actions can lead to new conversations, relationships, ideas, opportunities, and outcomes that might otherwise have passed you by.
That’s the science of becoming luckier.
Through my books, podcast, coaching, and the I’M LUCKY. apparel movement, my mission is simple: to help you think, feel and become wealthier, healthier, happier, and luckier—one thought, one feeling, and one Lucky Habit at a time.
