THE SCIENCE OF BECOMING LUCKIER
Most people believe luck is random—something that simply happens to you.
I believe it's something you can harness.
Research in psychology, neuroscience, and habit formation shows that your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs have a powerful influence on the life you create. If you believe money is hard to come by or that you can never catch a break, your brain naturally looks for evidence that confirms those beliefs. As a result, you'll notice more problems than possibilities, more setbacks than opportunities, and more lack than abundance.
On the other hand, if you believe you're lucky and that opportunities are everywhere, your brain begins searching for evidence that supports those beliefs. As a result, you're more likely to recognize opportunities, discover new ways to make money, build meaningful relationships, take action with greater confidence, and experience possibilities that others often overlook because their minds have been conditioned to focus on problems instead of possibilities.
Many of these beliefs weren't consciously chosen. They began forming in childhood and were shaped by our parents, family, environment, relationships, successes, trauma, and setbacks. By the time we reach adulthood, they're often silently running our lives on autopilot—shaping how we think, how we feel, what we expect, and ultimately the life we create.
That's why so many self-help books, motivational seminars, and personal growth programs create only temporary change. I call it the "self-help sugar high." They inspire you to think differently for a few hours or days, but rarely change the deeply rooted beliefs stored in your subconscious that continue influencing your life long after the motivation fades.
Being evicted from my home and losing everything during the pandemic changed my life forever. Looking back, it wasn't my breakdown—it was my breakthrough. Hitting rock bottom forced me to discover something that transformed the way I think about success, happiness, and luck.
What I discovered changed everything.
The fastest way to rewire the negative thoughts, feelings, and deeply rooted limiting beliefs silently running my life wasn't by working harder or chasing success.
It was through habit formation.
Not just habits you do—but habits you feel.
Research in psychology and neuroscience supports the idea that repeated thoughts, emotions, and experiences strengthen the neural pathways in your brain through a process called neuroplasticity. In other words, what you consistently think and feel gradually strengthens the beliefs that shape your expectations, decisions, and behavior. I believe those beliefs become the foundation for the life you create and the opportunities you attract.
That's why I created Magnetic Habits.
Instead of focusing only on changing your behavior, Magnetic Habits focuses on changing how you feel by transforming ordinary routines and everyday experiences into opportunities to repeatedly feel rich, grateful, confident, abundant, loved, healthy, and lucky. Every habit is intentionally designed to strengthen empowering thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.
As your beliefs change, your expectations change. As your expectations change, your actions change. And as your actions change, you become more magnetic to opportunities, better outcomes, greater abundance, and a luckier life.
Most habit books teach you how to change your behavior. Magnetic Habits teaches you how to change the beliefs behind your behavior. You don't attract what you want. You attract what you consistently think, feel, and believe.
At GetLuckyLife, I've brought that philosophy to life through an ecosystem of books, a podcast, coaching programs, the I'M LUCKY apparel brand, and science-backed daily habits designed to help you apply these principles to your everyday life.
That philosophy inspired Lucky Habits, applying the Magnetic Habits blueprint to one simple question:
Can you actually become luckier?
By intentionally developing the thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and habits that help you recognize more opportunities, make better decisions, build stronger relationships, and take action with greater confidence, you naturally increase your ability to create more fortunate outcomes and live a luckier life.
